Thomas was born in 1969. From an early age on he helped out his father, who had founded Lorenz Kunststofftechnik in 1966, gaining insights into the company and into the markets.

Upon completion of his apprenticeship as an mechanical engineering, he formally joined Lorenz Kunststofftechnik in 1992 and assumed the role of CEO and owner shortly after.

Since then he has transformed the company into a technology and innovation leader in the thermoset industry, including recycling and natural fiber materials.
