Priya joined Unilever in February 2008 as the MENA Corporate Communication Manager and has since held several positions within the communications function, including heading Communications for MENA, MENA and Central Africa, Employee Engagement Head for MENA, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. In 2019, she was promoted to the position of Sustainability Head for Unilever MENA, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, with the additional remit of MENA External Affairs & Corporate Affairs added to her portfolio in 2020.
Priya sees her purpose as using the power of communication and partnership to drive change. Her belief in the power of partnerships led her to set-up the Advertising Business Group
(ABG) in 2016 – the region’s largest Advertising and Marketing self-regulatory group – and was a Board Member till 2025.
This drive to collaborate also led her to set-up the UAE Chapter of the Unstereotype Alliance in November 2020 – a thought and action platform that seeks to eradicate harmful gender-based stereotypes in media and advertising – in partnership with UN Women and which she continues to lead. For this, she was recognised by Campaign Magazine as a ‘Marketing Gamechanger 2020’. In November 2022 she was elected as the 1st Chair of the Circular Packaging Association, and in May 2023 to the Board of the Multinational Companies Business Group (MCBG). Priya also attended the 2022 Cannes Lions as a jury member of the Sustainable Development Goals Lions (SDG). Priya has a Master’s in Business and is an Accredited Business Communicator (ABC) having successfully completed a course from the International Association for Business Communicators in 2010. She is based in Dubai, U.A.E.
