Ahmed El-Serwi is an accomplished operations and industrial management executive with more than 14 years of experience in plastics manufacturing, recycling, plant operations, and large-scale industrial project development.
As Chief Operating Officer of Packaging Applications & Future Technologies (PAFT), Ahmed oversees the companyโs manufacturing, recycling, supply chain, quality, health and safety, human resources, legal, security, and operational cost-management functions. He leads cross-functional teams, develops operational strategies, improves production performance, and ensures that the companyโs activities remain aligned with its commercial objectives and long-term growth plans.
Ahmed has extensive technical and managerial experience in PET, HDPE, and PP recycling, including nearly a decade of specialized experience in food-grade PET recycling at Bariq, a regional pioneer in bottle-to-bottle food-grade rPET production. His professional background includes managing
complex production facilities, commissioning recycling lines, improving plant efficiency, implementing quality and safety systems, and developing PLC and SCADA control solutions for
industrial operations.
Throughout his career, Ahmed has contributed to several major industrial and recycling projects in
Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Alongside leading PAFTโs operational expansion, he is currently directing the end-to-end development of a major greenfield recycling facility in Egypt โ a strategic project
incorporating advanced washing, sorting, pelletizing, utilities, infrastructure, and automation
technologies supplied by internationally recognized manufacturers such as AMUT, Starlinger, and TOMRA. Ahmed is recognized for his practical leadership style, technical understanding, structured decision- making, and ability to transform operational challenges into measurable improvements. He is committed to building safe, efficient, sustainable, and commercially competitive manufacturing organizations while developing strong teams and long-term partnerships with customers, suppliers, and technology providers.
