Academic & Professional Background

Dr. Bakare earned his Bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration from Siam University in Thailand, a Master’s degree in Global Environmental Studies from Sophia University in Tokyo, and a PhD in Environmental Engineering from Saitama University in Japan. He also holds a diploma in Environmental Sustainable Development from the United Nations University in Tokyo and is a certified expert in Renewable and Alternative Energy Development.

Entrepreneurship and Business Leadership

Dr. Bakare is the founder and CEO of Ecoflow Nigeria Limited, a fast-rising recycling company creating community-focused collection hubs and waste recovery systems. He also oversees Backarey Ecoflow Enterprise, Proflora, and Medeco—enterprises focused on sustainable development and innovation within the circular economy.

Association Leadership and Policy Engagement

An active member of AWAMN and a leading voice in the Recyclers Association of Nigeria, Dr. Bakare is currently contesting for the presidency of LAGRA. His agenda is focused on building a more self-sufficient, data-driven, and government-aligned association. His initiatives with Solous MRF, Celia Microfinance Bank, and LAGRA exemplify his approach to strategic funding and business support.

Programs and Initiatives

Dr. Bakare has launched impactful initiatives such as the Badagry PET Collection Hub with the Lagos State Office of Climate Change, school environmental clubs, and the Circular Economy Leaders and CEOs Network (CELCEON). He is also a frequent speaker at summits, sharing insights on climate finance and waste management policies.

Recognition and Traditional Honor

In December 2024, For his environmental contributions, Dr. Bakare was conferred the award of recognition as an ENVIRONMENTAL CHAMPION by the GoodGovernanceambassador Group. This honor reflects his grassroots engagement and leadership.

Personal Life and Values

Dr. Bakare is a family oriented man,  happily married to Mrs Bakare, a beautiful woman and together they raise their children, Jamal, Nadal and Nadia, with values grounded in service, sustainability, and community leadership. Known for his blend of humor, humility, and bold vision, Dr. Bakare is building a legacy rooted in environmental justice and entrepreneurial empowerment.
