Oliver Kade is the Technical Director at Seven Clean Seas, leading global efforts to tackle plastic pollution through innovations in plastic footprinting, circular economy strategy, and results-based financing.

He co-developed the Plastic Footprint Scopes, now adopted by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, and advised on the OBP Social+ Standard, ensuring social safeguards for informal waste workers. Oliver also pioneered the use of plastic credits as a high-integrity funding mechanism for waste management.

His work spans from removing over 5.7 million kilograms of plastic in Southeast Asia to shaping policy with DEFRA (UK), KLHK (Indonesia), and the GIZ PREVENT Waste Alliance. He has advised global clients including The Economist Group, FIFA World Cup, Microsoft, and Singapore Zoo, helping them reduce plastic use, boost recycling, and embed plastics into ESG reporting.
