Mr. Sawchuk is a Co-Founder of 245Recycle and is responsible for general management, strategic planning, and asset optimization. He has over 30-years industry experience in petrochemicals, refining and advanced recycling. His professional career began as a Chemist for CP Rail, later moving to BASF Canada where he held various marketing and supply chain roles across Canada and the US. Mr. Sawchuk led Strategic Planning for a regional business unit located in the US where he was responsible for M&A and JV activity, later moving to BASF SE (Germany) as a Global Marketing Manager. Mr. Sawchuk returned to the US as Marketing/Business Manager for the Americas until he was assigned to be the Company Representative and Business Director roles at two JV companies: BASF FINA LP (BASF Corporation, Total Petrochemicals) and Sabina LP (Shell Chemical, BASF, Total). Mr. Sawchuk was integral in restructuring and converting the two JVs into BASF TOTAL Petrochemicals LLC. In 2020, Mr. Sawchuk formed Petrochemical Strategies, during this time holding roles as Senior Vice President at i2 Enabled and Senior Advisor/Project Manager at PLG Consulting. Mr. Sawchuk has a Bachelor of Science (Major) in Chemistry from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
